About

The Krośnice Narrow-Gauge Railway (Krośnicka Kolej Wąskotorowa) has been running since 2013 through the Krośnice–Wierzchowice palace and park complex. The 750 mm gauge loop is almost 3 km long and passes stops such as Pałac Krośnice, Park, Stawy and Pałac Wierzchowice, each with information boards on the history and nature of the Barycz Valley. The line pays tribute to the old light railways that once linked the surrounding villages.

The pride of the fleet is the Px48-1907 steam locomotive, built in Chrzanów in 1955. At weekends it usually hauls the open summer carriages, while on other days a diesel locomotive takes over. Next to the main station on ul. Parkowa you'll find display locomotives, a playground, a barbecue shelter and a tourist information point, which makes it a great family outing.

The trains run seasonally from late April to late September, on selected weekends and Mondays according to the municipal timetable. Tickets for the 2026 season: standard 30 PLN, reduced 20 PLN, family 70 PLN, children under 3 free (as of Oct 2026). Check the current timetable on krosnice.pl before you go.
